Her Actual Birthday

The morning of her actual birthday she found the presents that we didn't open yet.  

She and Lai Ying had a blast playing with her new stuff

And she decided to be a stunt-girl and stand up on her car

But she got the hang of it

Happy Birthday #2

Quinn is a lucky girl.  This was her second 1st birthday party. 

Her cousin Justine just loves her.  And she's so good to Quinn.  

The way she talks to her and interacts with her is so great.  

She treats her like an equal and Quinn just loves it.  

Most adults could take a lesson from her.  

Birthday Cake!

She enjoyed her cake a little more this time.  But she's just too tidy a child to get crazy with it.  

She got some pretty sweet schwag from the Brooksies!

And she had a blast opening gifts with her cousins.

But poor Tommy got a little weirded out when she wouldn't stop staring at him.  We neglected to tell him that she was the Staring Contest Champion of the house.  

Never too young to enjoy gifts.  

Zoo!!!

We took Schmoops to the Zoo!

We wanted to buy her a hat but all she does is tear them off.  Probably because she gets such a sweaty head, which is in her genes unfortunately.  

It took some time to get her in the Stroller. Some bribes and making Mommy not talk and stay out of sight for as long as possible.  

Her first sight of Animals!

She pointed at the flamingos but didn't seem entirely impressed.  

But she loved being in the backpack. We had to put her in the backpack because once Mommy started talking the stroller was all done.  

She didn't make much fuss about any of the animals, she just liked to point.

Even at the scary looking deer pig.

The gorilla was pretty cool.

As was the Baby Orangutan.

And the huge Orangutan.  Not that Quinn was impressed.  

Lunch was waaaaay more fun.  

And the fries were a new fun experience for her.

We were trying to keep her awake so she'd sleep in the car on the way home.  So Mommy was practically running with Quinn on her back.  And we were basically at the far end of the Zoo.  

The really far end.  

Really Far.  

Too far.  She fell asleep. 

Happy Birthday Quinn #1

Quinners got to have a quiet little birthday party over on Easter Sunday.

Justine was being very nice about letting Quinn see her bracelet and didn't freak out at all when Quinn tried to eat it.  She's a really good cousin.

Nana cleaned out the sandbox and filled it with fresh sand so Quinn could search for some Easter Eggs.  She didn't really get the whole Easter Egg hunt thing but she did enjoy herself.

It took her a little bit to figure out what to do with the cake too. 

But she kinda got the hang of it.  Even though she wasn't nearly as messy as we would've liked.

Fun Day at the Park!

The last time she was at the park, she was Not interested in the swings.  But what a difference a week makes!  She was having so much fun!

I love all of these photos, but the next three are favorites.  It's like she's having so much fun, then it's too much fun, then it just blows her mind!!!
