San Diego part 3

Sea World!!!

I love Sea World.  Very fond memories of the place, so I was very excited to take the family.

The first thing we did was run to one of the shows.  

Which had way more people in funny costumes than I remember.

Wasn't sure Quinn would really like it but she loved it.

Between the birds, dolphins, whale and crazy dressed people she had a blast.  

And then it was time for dippin dots! YUM!  She loved the rainbow flavor.  

Not so much the root beer float Mama and Dada were sharing.  

So it actually took us about 10 minutes to get her away from the penguin photo board.  

She just kept going back for more pictures.  

We actually had to let several groups of people get their turn in we were there so long.

And birds again.

I'd never seen it before but Sea World has a pretty awesome kids area.

And a whole Sesame Street Play theme, with rides and everything.  

And even though she didn't quite reach the height requirement they still let her on.  Must have been because of the scary bearded guy with her...

EEK!  She found me!!!

Yeah, Bert totally freaked her out.  She still talks about how ernie and bert came to say hi to her and she was really happy about it.  But if you press her she'll tell you she was scared of them.  It's pretty funny.  

San Diego part 2

On the second day we went to the Zoo.  She loooooves animals.  

And she was pretty adamant about where she wanted to go and what she wanted to see.  

Birds!

Birds, she loves birds. 

She was also terribly amused when Mama put her phone on a lanyard around her neck.  

And everybody knows she loves Cheetahs.  

And Elephants...

She decided that Dada shouldn't be the only one taking photos.

And Camels...

And more birds...

If you ask her she'll tell you that this is right before the hippo went "poopoo in agua".  

Yeah that was a highlight for all of us.

On a sidenote, neither mama nor dada particularly like the zoo.  It's a bit depressing.  Save you money and go to the Safari Park.  It a much happier place for the animals, or at least it seems that way to us.  

Oh, couldn't forget her favorite the flamingos.  

San Diego part 1

So we went to San Diego again, since the first trip was such a success.  This time at the recommendation of my brother and sister we stayed at the Catamaran Resort in Mission Bay.  It was great for our little family.  Nice room with a little kitchenette too.  

As soon as we got settled she decided to have a little sit on the balcony. 

Then she needed her sunglasses.  The little monkey.

It was too late to go to any of the sights on the first day so we went to the beach at mission bay.  Very helpful that is just outside the hotel's backdoor.  

And clearly she had a great time.

And she's turning into quite the little monkey.

To the point where she's just helping herself to snack from my bag.

And quite pleased with herself.
