Quinn's Recital

It was pretty special.  But a total zoo.  Tons of obnoxious parents and grandparents and people just all over the place.

It was really cute how she and her two friends from preschool huddled together when they first got on the stage.  Strength in numbers I think.  Their teacher had to separate them to have them correctly spaced for the dance.

And that's when Quinn came VERY close to losing it.  I've blown up the picture so you can see.  The tears were on their way.  I can say I blame her.  It was dark and moody and there were probably 200 parents in the seats clapping and cheering.  I would probably cry if I was up there.  (click on the photo to enlarge it if you can't see her face)

But the lights went on and she pulled it together fast!

The dance went off without a hitch.

I'm very proud of her.  It must have been really daunting to be up there.

She's a trooper and the best part is that she enjoyed it and wants to do it again.

Bravo!!!
Yeah, she didn't crack a smile the entire time.  She was very deep in concentration.
But unlike the smiley kids she didn't miss a single step.  I'd love her to be smiling in the photos but that's how she is.  When it's important to her she's all business and concentration.
