Mommy and the Poo Cannon

This was one of our first "Welcome to Parenthood" moments.  It was the first week and as I was holding up Quinn's legs so Mommy could get the diaper under her (as a Daddy, the first few changes require assistance), and...She Shot Mommy with her Poo Cannon.  

It was projectile poop.  Probably shot a distance of about 15-18 inches.  Literally sprayed her arm.  It was awesome.  I couldn't stop laughing, and as soon as Mommy got over the shock she couldn't stop laughing either.  Awesome.

That was a couple of weeks ago, and then Yesterday happened.  

We were having a family dinner and Mommy went to clean the diaper.  About 3 minutes later I heard someone calling my name.  So I went to investigate and this is what I found.  

Awesome.  Just Awesome.  I think the Poo Cannon misfired and left a trail.  

If you look carefully at the end of the river of poo you can see she even got a little on Hello Kitty's face.  And yes, I said River of Poo.  Come on, look at this picture.  What else would you call it other than a River of Poo.  

But don't you just love that look on her face?  It's like she's a little embarrassed.  

A bit spoiled already

For most of the day, Little Miss is carried by Daddy, Mommy, Nana, or Lai Ying. Even when Little Miss is sleeping, once she realizes (usually only about 5 - 10 mins) she has been put down in one of these:

Or in the cradle 'n swing,
she starts fussing and crying. As soon as you pick her up, she falls back asleep. It's like magic. I think she knows exactly when it's daytime and nighttime because at night she's quite content in her bassinet.

If you don't already know, you'll now have an idea of how the Happy and Tired mommy sleeps. It looks something like this:

Swaddles

Swaddles are great, but our little Houdini will just not stay swaddled.  Even with the super duper summer infant super swaddle wrap, she just squirms her way out.  (however there may be some user error involved.)

30 Days Old...

She's already 30 days old!

And she has such long, pretty eyelashes :)

I think she gets it from her dad.

And it looks like our little Quinn is either a time traveler or has a look a like 

that was born 30 years before she was.
